ICAI’s Board of Studies releases Mock Test Papers, or MTPs, before every CA Foundation attempt to simulate the real exam with a marking scheme and answer key. Download every English medium MTP for the 2027 exams below, subject by subject.
CA Foundation January 2027 Exam Dates
ICAI confirmed the January 2027 CA Foundation date sheet on September 23, 2026. Exams will be held on January 3, 5, 7, and 9, 2027, with Papers 1 and 2 from 2 PM to 5 PM and Papers 3 and 4 from 2 PM to 4 PM.
The exam application form is expected to open in the first week of November 2026. See our full January 2027 exam dates and timings breakdown for the complete schedule.
What Is the CA Foundation MTP
The MTP is a full mock exam released in two series before each attempt, each with its own question paper and answer key for all four papers. Unlike the RTP, it is meant to be solved under exam conditions with a time limit.
Series I is usually released a little earlier than Series II, so you can use the first as a diagnostic test and the second as a final check closer to your exam. If you are also looking for revision questions, our CA Foundation RTP collection covers that separately, and our CA Inter MTP collection follows the same format if you are preparing for the next level.
How to Use MTPs Effectively
Attempt each series like a real exam. Set a timer, sit without your notes, and only check the answer key once you are done, not while solving.
After checking your answers, go back to every question you got wrong and understand why, not just what the correct option or entry was. This is where most of the actual learning happens.
Once you have attempted an MTP fully, use two or three older MTPs for extra practice on the papers where you feel weakest. Our guide on how to revise the CA syllabus in 15 days can help you fit this into your final weeks, and our CA Foundation exam guide covers dates, eligibility, and fees for your attempt.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between MTP and RTP?
MTP is a full mock exam with a marking scheme and answer key meant to be solved under timed conditions, while RTP is a revision tool with updated illustrations and amendments, not a graded test.
How many attempts of MTP are covered here?
Seven attempts from June 2024 through May 2026, each with two or three series, across all four papers. A few individual papers were not released by ICAI for specific series, and those are marked clearly.
Should I solve Series I or Series II first?
Solve Series I first since it is usually released earlier and gives you more time to work on weak areas before attempting Series II closer to your exam.
Are these the official ICAI MTPs?
Yes. Every file here is sourced directly from ICAI’s Board of Studies content without any modification.
