This page explains where the result will appear, how to check it, how past Foundation results looked, and what to do next. We will update it as soon as ICAI announces the result.

Treat those dates as unofficial. Only an ICAI notice or the ICAI announcements page can confirm it.

How to Check Your Result

The steps are the same as for the Inter result. Keep your numbers ready before the result goes live.

  1. Open caresults.icai.org
  2. Enter your registration number and roll number
  3. Submit and view your marks
  4. Download the marksheet and save a copy

The site can be slow in the first hours after a result goes live. If it does not load, wait a few minutes and try again.

Passing Marks for CA Foundation

You must score at least 40% in each paper and 50% in aggregate across all four papers. Scoring 50% overall does not help if any single paper is below 40%.

Check your marks paper by paper before you decide what comes next.

How Past Foundation Results Looked

These figures come from ICAI’s own release for September 2025 and from news reports for May 2026. They show how the pass rate moves from one attempt to the next.

Session Appeared Passed Pass percentage
September 2025 (declared 3 November 2025) 98,827 14,609 14.78%
May 2026 (reported 3 July 2026) 90,217 18,124 20.09%

News reports also put the January 2026 Foundation pass rate at 19.23%. The September 2025 topper was L Rajalakshmi of Chennai with 360 marks (90%). The pass rate has stayed between roughly 15% and 20% in the last three attempts, so no one should assume the result in advance.
